Many people have asked how 5 Gastronomy came about… how a lawyer, a businessman and a chef got together to form a catering company with a food truck. It’s simple. All of them have a common goal of delivering great food with amazing service to all walks of life.
About four years ago, Chef Bruno Fonseca saw a newspaper clipping from The New York Times talking about food trucks. After a lot of research and a couple of business plans later, he met Ricardo Guedes. Ricardo, a successful entrepreneur, had the perfect background to join Bruno in this new venture. He owns and operates the biggest bakery in São Paulo, Brazil, with over 600 employees. He is an expert when it comes to the public and its needs, baking, and business as a whole.
With his seasoned business vision, Guedes saw an incredible potential in this idea and decided to introduce yet another piece to this puzzle: Marcelo Campagnolo. A tax lawyer with a strong background in business and passion for good food, Campagnolo felt that the idea of this food truck and catering company was unique, and most of all filled with great desire to be the best. This desire could be tasted in Chef Bruno’s food, and its drive to cook with local ingredients, cutting edge culinary technology and great experience and respect for food.
It didn’t take long for the trio to experience cohesiveness in their objective, and to create 5 Gastronomy…a different type of catering company with a much different food truck.
